Just wondering who has one, what do you think?
Looking at getting a CASV-M. Just haven't seen much about them.

I like mine. Haven't heard any complaints about them, except an Eotech won't co-witness.

That's what the CASV-S is for.

Love mine!

And no, an EOtech will not co-witness, as you are taking a very high optic and making it sit higher. Other optics will with the right mounts.

Another big fan here!

At first I was shy about them because they looked liked like just a piece of stamped sheet metal.  After reading that the Navy EOD runs these rails however, I decided to give one a try. I was very pleasantly surprised!  The fit and finish are top notch, and the rail locks up absolutely rock solid.  Come of find out, the "sheet metal" contains a clever structure of reinforcement ribs that provide excellent strength without bulk or weight.

I was also impressed with the little details.  My rail (CASV-M) came with six rail sections that bolt on almost anywhere.  All the hardware is stainless steel, and the threaded inserts have mechanical locks to help keep the screws from loosening up, even without Loctite.

The rail's shape is also very purposeful.  This rail system really has eight sides instead of the normal four.  That is a dream-come-true for folks adding lights, lasers, and/or micro red dots.  Forget the extra expense of offset mounts.  With this rail, mounting accessories at 45 degrees is as easy as bolting on a rail section.

Personally, I think the CASV really shines when using a magnified optic.  Because of the one-piece continuous top rail, there is no worry about "spanning the gap" between the receiver and the handguard.  This allows a scope to be positioned anywhere on the top rail without the need for expensive and heavy cantilevered scope mounts.  I like to think of this system as a "working man's MRP".

Buy with confidence.

Throws the balance off tho. I don't like running a RDS that far forward. To each their own. I'd rather keep the Eotech close up and remove if I have to use the BUIS.
