I recently built a 6.8 for my son.upon test firing, we noticed after he shot a round the trigger would not pull to fire a second shot.

Only after moving the safety a quater way toward safe we heard a click ,then moved the safety back to semi and it fired normally.we had to repeat this every time.
His build consists of
spike tac lower
brownell parts kit
timney trigger
acs stock
rock river 6.8 coyote upper
How do I fix it?

I've had this problem with 2 timney AR triggers before.
Here is what it boils down to...
There is an adjuster screw in the disconnector (centered behind the
hammer) which is supposed to be factory preset and not intended for the
end user to tamper with, mine had a dried blob of plastic covering the
recessed allen key socket in the screw.
You can send it back to them, or adjust it yourself. Mine needed maybe 1/4 to 1/2 turn on the screw.

now the problem is which one is it I have adjusted the larger one that is centered but it hast helped. is it the small one?

which of the two is it?

The "small" one on the disconnector is the one I was referring to..
