1st, how many people have them hate them because they catch on your beard?
2nd, why a Clubfoot option? What is the purpose of the Clubfoot design? 3rd, not Vltor related, but where do I get the grey colored Milspec tube? All the ones I find are black. |

I have a beard and absolutely no problems with Vltor stocks. You can push against the flat part with your non-firing hand to get the stock farther into your shoulder. Obviously not much use unless you're firing from a supported position. |

1. I've had it catch my scruff once, that's all. I now have standardized to Emods (have 4 of them and no other brands).
2. The purpose of the clubfoot is to use the off hand to push the stock into your shoulder and make small adjustments to get on target.......all from a bench or prone position. 3. I have no idea....never saw a gray buffer tube. |

1st, how many people have them hate them because they catch on your beard? Most collapsible stocks would not be beard friendly because hair mostly get pinched at the front of the stock and the buffer tube, if it bothers you just put any filler, tape, or thin rubber sheet wherever area you have a problem with. 2nd, why a Clubfoot option? What is the purpose of the Clubfoot design? I've got a clubfoot modstock and an EMOD, I use the clubfoot to steady the carbine with my support hand when prone or on the shooting bench. 3rd, not Vltor related, but where do I get the grey colored Milspec tube? All the ones I find are black. The only gray finished mil-spec size tube that I know of is on my LMT carbine. |

The clubfot gives you more surface area on the butt. That gives you more space to work with when trying to get a good cheek weld in different positions. The curved toe of the stock allows the gun to rock or rotate up onto your shoulder easier. The rubber but pad is not needed for recoil, but helps the gun stick to your shoulder better when moving and shooting, or wearing armor or a vest or whatever.
And as stated, you can hold the rifle into your shoulder with your support hand. |
