| i want to get a rail for my ar. was looking at the 7.0 from daniel defense, but i would prefer the more room that the 9.0 offers. but i am conserned that it wont fit over my gas bock or even if they are designed to do so. i will have a low profile gas block. |

A 9" rail would fit a carbine gas system low profile gas block fine, many members here are doing just that.
You could either get a low profile gas block like Noveske, PRI, Vltor, LaRue, etc. or shave/ cut-down your existing standard FSB. If you prefer to use your standard FSB with a longer 9" rail, just get a rail model with a cutout on the top rail for the standard FSB.
