Ive been looking around for a while now and havnt been able to find one at the right price or timeframe. Im looking for a Bushmaster A-3 style upper receiver and barrel only. (no sights). Also, must be post-ban unfortunatly. Local gun shops in my area cant give me an honest answer or useful information about how to get one, and Bushmaster has a long waiting periopd from what ive heard. As of right now I have the A-2 style upper and im looking for the A-3 style. I also live in Mass. So it must comply with state law. If anyone has one or knows where I can get one, please help. Thanks for any and all info you can give, Steve |

Thanks for any and all info you can give, Steve Don't waste your time or money going through Bushmaster they charge too high a premium for thier products. Go through a distributor like PK Firearms at the top of the page as Glazer 1972 points out. I have this upper http://www.pkfirearms.com/content/1/20/54/74 It is in stock and it shoots very tight groups. Depending on your setup (BUIS, Aimpoint, etc,) You may be able to use an LE Shorty Buttstock to keep the rifle as compact as possible or depending on your build you may also be able to go with a Cavalry Arms A-1 Stock. I don't know MA law but the upper I quoted is AWB compliant with the compensator being pinned and welded and counts as a 16" barrel with no flash hider or bayonet lug. The price is good and includes a BCG and Charging Handle. |

I don't want to advise too much because my rifle hasn't been delivered yet (love Hawaii...)
But Stag customer service was light years beyond Bushmasters (I personally called both), also Bushmaster had a 4 week wait on uppers, cost over $100 more for the same thing, and the guy on the phone was a tool. |

I found the one I think im going to buy! http://www.pkfirearms.com/select_options/new/219 A3 style flat top, 14.5" barrel with the Phantom Flash Hider to make a total 16" ( Mass legal ) in the 1/7 twist. The only thing I need to do now is call the company and have them remove the front sight and refinnish the barrel. I know Bushmaster will do that, so im hoping this company will do the same.  |
