Like the title states, I'm looking for a chrome carrier. I'd take a chrome bolt too but the bolt MUST be MPI tested. I have a BCM carrier and bolt but I am going to be using a Noveske switchblock and I'd really like to be able to see how much less crap is entering my chamber and upper when running suppressed. I'll undoubtedly get a ton but the chrome will at least make it easier to clean. Denny used to have Young NM carriers with an MPI tested bolt for $165 but now it looks like all that's offered is a $225 fully chromed set up. Who else makes them? Stainless steel would also work. I just can't find them anywhere for a decent price. |
| You might look into those coated & sold by FailZero/UTC. Their improved nickle boron coating is much slicker, harder, & adheres much better than chrome. They buy their BCGs from a company that builds parts for a military rifle contract, so they are very good. A drawback is that the process doesn't create a perfectly uniform color, but it works. |
