I picked up a Colt 6920 a few months ago at a show and have put about 1000 rounds down the tube so far.  Now I'm looking at putting on a rail system for mounting a VFG, light, etc.  I want to keep the original FSB on the rifle, but don't mind knocking out the taper pins and removing it temporarily to replace the barrel nut for a free float rail.  To maximize the real estate up front, I want to get a rail like the Vltor CAS-EL or the Daniel Defense Lite 9.5 FSB.  I'm starting to shy away from the Vltor CAS-EL because it increases the rail height on the upper receiver and causes cowitnessing problems with EOTech optics.  My question is am I overlooking any other options out there?  Also, if you have pics of a 16 carbine with a Daniel Defense 9.5 FSB, feel free to post some 'em.

I have DD M4 7.0 rail, it keeps the front sight.

I would 2nd the 9.5 for allowing a more forward grip yet maintain your FSB.
