Hi, recently started building my first ar 15. I am starting with a S&W lower and am in the process of ordering a 16'' m4 del ton upper rifle kit. I was thinking of ordering with the regular CAR stock hand guards and upgrading to a free float four rail in the near future when the money came around. I plan on using a YHM diamond spector(longer version to cover a carbine's gas block area) free float tube. What type of gas block should I use instead of the A2 regular front sight? Reason being, I do not want to go through scratching my barrel to take off the A2 when my new free float gets here. Should I use a low pro gas block to slide underneath the new free float or do I need to purchase a YHM spector gas block to fit under the rail? Any help would be greatly appreciated. If you couldn't tell, I am a complete rookie haha. Also what is considered to be a legal barrel brake in MA? I know it must be pinned or welded is anything that is not a flash suppressor legal as long as it is pinned or welded on permanently?
