I've been itching for a new rifle for a while and while all of my other AR's have been pretty basic, I've been wanting to take the next step. By that, I mean that I want a high quality gun... you know, one that gun guys see and say "Man I gotta hold that thing!!!" For me, those guns arre the ones you don't see in the gun shops.. like the LaRue or Noveske guns. So I almost have enough cash and I am about ready to do it.. but now I'm running into the choice of what to get.
So here's what I've been looking at:
Option 1: LaRue Stealth 16" with 13.2" handguard and LaRue Lower
Option 2: Noveske Light Recce Low Profile Upper with Blem Lower
Option 3: open to suggestions

What is the intended purpose for the rifle? Weekend plinker? HD? Class gun? Just for looks to impress others? Cant go wrong with a BCM.

Black rain upper would be my choice. Sweet lowers also. Let it rain....

Larue but an upper like this deserves a 20" bbl.

I'm an LEO and SWAT and I have a carbine built for entries, but what I'm looking for on this project is an accurate carbine that will most likely be equipped with a low variable powered optic to supplement it. I like to have a carbine that is set apart from the norm.. one that is not normally found on a shelf. More than likely it will be used for range use and occasionally a competition.

I would get the 20" Stealth with the 13.2" rail.

That is what I am actually planning on getting when I have the money to do so.

My $0.02

Based on that, I'd say get the LaRue or do a custom 18" build, loosely based on an Mk12 SPR.
