I am building a AR Coyote rifle. I was wondering what people in the  using? I live in Michigan and probably won't be shooting more than 200 yards. More like 50-150... I was thinking about a 16 or 18 inch fluted. What do you all think?

Oh yea, i think anything under 200 and the 18" wont even factor in.  If your yote gun is like mine you might not want to make it nice, since it rides in the pickup so much.

Are you saying that I should go with a 16?

yeah, with like a 3-9 optic and then spend some coin on a nice 130 plus lumen light!

The 18" barrel will have a little more velocity.

We got a lot of wide open spaces, and I can tell you a 16" barreled carbine can shoot a LOT farther than what you are looking at.

Light,easy to manuever,small over all size,and for 200 yards and under..............................I don't see a eason NOT to use a 16".

I have 20s and 16s,and use both for varmints,IMO you really don't start seeing a noticable difference till you are pretty far out there.
