I was trying to install a FSB on my new DD 16inch/pencil barrel and noticed that the underside of the barrel does not have a flat area for the FSB pins to go through....What type of Front Site Base do i need....

| I think those were intended for gas blocks, not FSB towers. To install a standard FSB you need a jig to make sure the base is top dead center, otherwise it will end up canted. Drill and ream with a 2/0 reamer and insert taper pins. For a low profile or set screw gas block you would just have to dimple the barrel for set screws. There are also gas blocks that clamp onto the barrel. |
