[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Need to identify a upper

I got a new upper in on trade off of ee I think it might be a RRA but dont know and he didnt remember. on the shell deflictor side back by the charging handle it has a symble but cant explain it and cant get a picture to post. maby someone can lead me in the dirrection to find out or can send me some pictures. thanks for the help guys.

That is the cardinal head of Cardinal Forge. They produced the raw forging. This does not indicate who machined & finished the upper. Only where the forging came from. HTH.

Now that we know who made the raw product, how do I find out who would have finished it?

There's really no way to tell if it's not etched with a manufacturers logo. You can narrow it down by features like M4 ramps, T-marks, Teflon coated or not, etc., but that's about it at this point.
