| i am looking for a free floating rail for my competition hbar, it has a compass lake engineering float tube on it now that uses the colt handguards. the front handguard mount is part of the float tube for those who are not familiar wth this style. i have looked at the KAC and larue but do not see one that is typicaly used with the factory fixed front site. i would like one if possible that extends past the site a little further like the long carbine rail. any advice? or help with the best place to purchase this? thanks. |

Sounds like you need something longer than the typical 12" rifle length tube.
If so, then LaRue and Troy Industries both offer 13" plus rails that would extend past your rifle length gas block. Daniel Defense did have a long rifle length, but I don't know if they still make them. |
