Hi - Just got my first AR - Colt MT6700.  Living in NJ I am limited to only adding a compensator, no flash hider.
Settled on a 6700 vs 6700C cause the price difference is a couple of hundred bucks.

Question - can I add a compensator to my 6700?
If so, is it easy and which compensator do folks recommend.

Thanks,
Mike

When you say compensator do mean a muzzle brake? If so, the answer is yes. There are a number out there. I like the Cav Comp from Cavalry Arms. There is also the Miculek Comp that the Colt compensator is basically a copy of. There are any number of good designs out there. Surefire, PRI also have units available. I don`t try to install them myself. Adco is your friend! They are quick, reasonable. You`ll be happy with their work.

To be honest. It will shoot best as is. If you have to have a coolness factor then I would use a Branson brake.
