I have a carbine DPMS .223 and would like to remove my stock forgrip and site post and replace it with just a free float forgrip.(No site post)Can this be done and what are some ideas for the best type?Thanks guys

sure.  check out the pinned thread on this at the top of AR-15 section, do it your self.  explains everything - you'll need some tools, but (arguably) that is the best thing you can do to an AR in terms of mods
