I just got the Yankee Hill light weight for my CAR.  Time will tell, but I'm happy so far.  Yankee Hill is a good "Bang for the Buck" value...  My two..

Good luck...  Rut

Yankee Hill is about the cheapest...that and MI.  Cheaper stuff like a UTG works but it is a China knock-off and fit and finish is hit or miss and quality is questionable.

You can put the two red part together and make a complete, honest sentence too

In my experience YHM has been nothing but excellent.

You might take a look at the new Ergo rail. It looks really nice for the money.

YHM, excellent and cheap. otherwise, go for a KAC RAS.

Troy MRF-DI

Quality rail at a good price.  Had one and loved it.  Would still have it if I didn't swap to a midlength.

(If Troy came out with a middie version of the above rail, I'd be all over it)

+1. I love my Troy 7" MRF-DI, it is very very solid, and not too heavy either.

They do make one for middies (as well a rifle length):  http://www.troyind.com/DIrails.html

Whaaaaaaaaaaaat theeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeelllllll?!?!?!?!?

This is somewhat new, I suppose?  I asked here, if anyone knew if Troy had these in the works, last September.

Well damn, this is great news.  Thanks a ton for the link!  I'll be ordering a set soon.

EDIT:  I wonder why no Troy distributors have it in stock, and there's no pics even on Troy's own site(the black rail is pictured, but not the FDE)...........maybe it's not out yet?

There is a Midwest Industries Free Float 2 piece quad rail on the EE for $75.00.  This is a great deal.  My brother had the same rails and they are solid.
