Anyone have experience with the following:
Pri GEN III free float YHM customizable free float J.P. Enterprises VTAC How do you like them? Which would you reccomend? Pics of your rifles would be great. Thanks. |

I have a PRI in my skunk slaying carbine and like it a lot. That said, I know nothing about the other offerings you mention so I can't give you a good comparison between them. The PRI is light and tough as hell. I run mine with a bipod, and usually rest it on a patio railing to shoot. This particular carbine is fairly specialized for a specific application-I don't shoot it at the range much or use for carbine classes: http://home.comcast.net/~cjan99999/Colt_Skunk4.JPG http://home.comcast.net/~cjan99999/Colt_Skunk1.JPG I am Mall Ninja! Hear me roar! http://home.comcast.net/~cjan99999/Colt_Skunk6.JPG The laser is actually a lot of fun when delousing your yard of skunks. I'm fairly certain they can see the dot-because they tend to freeze when I shine the dot in front of them. It's sort of like driving your cat nuts with a laser pointer, but with gunfire involved. That's pretty nice equipment for a Mall Ninja. |

Pics of your rifles would be great. Thanks. All of those have good reputations. Good luck getting your hands on a VTAC for now. I just cancelled my backorder for one, and went with a LaRue handguard instead. I don't want to wait another 6 months to finish this build. The YHM has a reputation for out-of-spec rails, but, honestly, I have one of the old lightweight (pre-locking screws) YHM handguards, and it is rock-solid and I like it; a GREAT buy for the money. |
