does anyone have any experience with this product? i bought one so i could hold a few extra batteries in my a2 grip and every time i shoot the gun the plug falls out. it seems to happen after the 4th or 5th shot. when reinstall the plug it seems snug.
any ideas? anyone else having this problem? |
| I've never had any luck with those things, even with something light inside the pistol grip. A few rounds and boom, the contents are on the ground. I've heard that some people have even had problems with the plus on the Ergo grips, although I don't have personal knowledge of those. |

MIAD are the only ones i've had luck with not falling out.
I generally used the DPMS plug as a way to avoid getting dust/crud inside an otherwise empty grip. haven't ever relied on it to hold anything MIADs can be outfitted with specific holders to secure a bolt/firing pin, two bullets, or batteries. works great. |

i contacted dpms and got the most intelligent person i have ever met in my life.
i mentioned that i had purchased their grip plug and was having problems with it falling out after a few shots. they responded by telling me they have never had anyone complain and for me to send it back. they also asked me what grip i was using. i sent them an email stating i had no problem with that and i was using it on a hogue grip. the person responded back to me with pictures of a standard a2 grip and a hogue grip. they also said that none of them will work and for me to use the old buttstock trick. they wanted me wrap electrical tape around the plug a few times or stick velcro tape to it (soft side out) to fill the gap. i responded back stating why would i have to do that if it was designed to fit into a standard a2 grip and a hogue grip. it should fit with no problems. are you telling me it does not work with the hogue grip? they responded back with that is correct. if you have any further concerns please contact me.
i emailed them back with the link to their site and the description of the part showing it clearly states it fits the hogue grip. i also told them i think they are confused and they need to re read their emails. i have yet to get a response. wtf?
