| I just purchased a Colt 6721 Ar and want to remove the front sight assemlby and replace it with a low profile gas block. My question is how does the new gas block slide on the barrel and any recommendations on a gas block? |
| Whatever you decide to get, don't buy the Leaper / UTG 4 rail unit. The roll pin hole doesn't line up with the gas tube hole. Other people on here have been drilling out the hole to fit but that's ridiculous...a quality unit should line up. Learned my lesson on going cheap I guess. I opted for the DMPS 4 rail unit instead. |

I like the Vltor.
Here is a thread I did on how to use the dimple jig and how to pin the gas block if you were so inclined. http://www.jobrelatedstuff.com/forums/topic.html?b=3&f=4&t=416100 |

Why isn't it in the tacked thread above! ETA: How important do you think pinning the gas block is? Is the risk of the gas block loosening high if only dimpled/setscrewed? |

I've had the set screws come loose even with red loctite although there was loctite that had seeped between the barrel and gas block that made it tough to get the gas block off. Pinning is the do it and forget about it way. |

Don't ever put any UTG/Lepers Chinese airsoft shit on an AR. |

Pinning is the do it and forget about it way. What about Rocksett? That seems to be the general consensus for flash hiders, gas blocks, etc. since it's rated for 2015F As you can see I'm trying to stray away from pinning
Dimpling and set screwing are within my mechanical limits. Pinning, I'd rather not do myself. |
