Looking to put one on my DPMS.  Any suggestions?  What's the difference between one that's 60bucks and one that's 350.  Looking at going with a Knights Armement, but dont' know if I want to spend that much

If you want toy parts, get the $60.00 crap made for Airsoft guns that are marketed to the real gun public...KAC are worth it...and so are many others.

They (KAC RAS) are abundant in the EE. I just sold a set for $150.00 with covers.

You have many options...not just a $60.00 chicom POS vs. a $350.00 system....

YHM, DD...etc..POF...there are many options out there...all south of $350.00

buy once cry once.

The difference in quality is huge. (machining, stability, rails in spec)

Let me recommend either a Troy MRF or Daniel Defense Omega for your first.
Both are pretty easy to install (don't require removal of barrel or front sight base), free floating, and are among the best.

(there are others of course, Larue is amazing also. Midwest Industries is good, and even Yankee Hill makes good stuff. I don't have enough experience with them to say anything about the KAC, but they have a wonderful reputation)

Here's two of my rifles.
First one is a Troy MRF. Second one is a Daniel Defense M4 (requires a bit more work than the MRF and Omega)

+1 I just installed a Troy MRF on my recent build.  Awesome rail and very easy to install.

YHM if you want a rail that is intended for use a a real gun (read, not airsoft) but stuff you want to mount may or may not fit on the YHM rails that may or not be in spec.

Troy if you want a rail that works well, is easy to install and will do anything you want it to and anything will fit when you try to mount it.

LaRue Tactical or Daniel Defense if you want the cream of the crop.

I choose LaRue for all of my free floating handguard needs.

ETA:  Just my $0.02 and it applies to Free Float only

Are you looking for a free float rail system? Are you looking for CAR length or rifle length?

Carbine length.  I will prob go with a free float.  I need all the help I can get.

Good choice.

I was deciding between the DD omega and Troy mrf because I wanted the lightest 10" 2pc for my post ban (nj legal) RRA. Trimming the fsb into a lo-pro gas block, shooting it with flat black high temp paint to prevent rust, cut off the delta ring, and mounting the rail took under 2 hours. Huge improvement over my previous rail (utg carbine rail)!

since you like the KAC ones and don't want to spend the money for it (which I wouldn't either)  go with Midwest Industries #17.  It is very similar to the KAC one and is built extremely well and cost around $130

good luck!

So Many choices.  Think I might go with a longer rail sys and a low profile block and put a flip up fron sight in.  And, put an EOtech on.  Already have a Knights Arm 300M flip up rear sight on.
