| Hi Folks, I believe that I have selected a hand guard for my carbine project but I would like to know your experiences with the Mid-length JP Enterprises free floating hand guard. What did you like about it? What did you hate? Was it easy to install? Stuff like that. |

You made a good selection but good luck finding one.
I have the JP on 9 of my builds and have installed them on many other builds for friends, Read the instructions and it will be easy. the only thing I dont like is the instructions say use the rockset super permenent locktite but I use the medium stuff and let it sit overnight or I dont use it at all and insert a drill bit snug in the gas tube hole and into the upper reciever to keep it at 12:00 while I install the barrel. I like that you can put many lengths of rails in positions you need and then dont need the plastic rail covers. They are very well built with a great finish. |
| I have one and like it a lot. I don't see the locktite thing as a problem. I can't see a reason that I would ever need to take the nut off. It vents heat better than any other's, smaller in diameter and you have rails only if you need them. The only thing I hate is I can't fine one for my new rifle. |
