I know they're known for match .22 pistols and started getting in to the AR market a few years ago but I haven't heard anything about their AR's.  I have a chance to get a 6.8 SPC upper that was supposedly made by them.

Very decent, very basic platforms.
Good starters for modifying to whatever suits your tastes in AR15 rifles.

Okay. Fully endorsed by Lon Horiuchi, former FBI sniper, of Ruby Ridge fame. Poor recon and tactics by any standard.

I don't think we're talking about the same company.  The OP is asking about High Standard Manu. out of Texas, not H-S Precision out of S.D..

I've using HS parts since Brownells started carrying them.  Decent stuff, no worries.

High Standard, not H-S Precision.  Reading is fundamental.

I'm wondering about the build quality of their stripped lowers.

When you build one, are their any fit issues with standard pins?

How about upper/Lower fit?

Im wondering the same thing. My Fedex driver that drops off for us @ works is @ their facility almost everyday. I never heard of them till he was telling us about it one day.

Anyone have/had their stuff and have any and ALL pros and cons on it?

Well, that's good to know.

So far, I can't ever remember seeing anything with the High Standard name on it that wasn't a good product.

Maybe the receivers but comparing some of the other parts, no.

Correct. Upper, Lower and LPK.

I have two.  One is still stripped so I cannot say on it but the other the fit is tight but not where you need a hammer to get the pin in.  No issues when I put mine together.

I have two stripped lowers and one of them I used mostly High Standard upper receiver parts (from Brownell's). Fit and finish are superb. Magwell is in-spec but slightly on the tight side (1st gen Pmags won't drop free unless you shave off the two nubs on the backside). The other lower I put an LMT complete upper and similarly has no issues. Both have negligible play between upper and lower. I like how there isn't a stupid looking animal, and it's one of the few receivers that will have TX on it. You should have no problems with their parts. I think their complete rifles are a bit overpriced, though. I believe a few of the folks at High Standard were former Colt employees that worked on AR-15s, so they know their stuff.
