Thanks to the Great State of NY, I have to have a pin in my collapsable stock on my M4. I was looking at it today, and it just looks like a cap screw through the stock. Does anyone know if it is as easy as taking the screw out, setting the stock where I want it, and replacing the screw?

Also is that legal? I'm guessing it would be because it technically isn't collapsable once I put the pin back in place, but that's me thinking out loud.

Thanks,
Chris

All the ones ive seen where ppl turned a FIXED stock into a collapsable looked like crap. They are not only PINNED, but they whole tube is GLUED. IMO, its not worth the hassles, get an entry stock from ACE. Too bad ya didnt work on this at the end of 2004 ppl were throwing away fixed stocks left and right.

Glued and blined pinned. Pin hole is drilled half way thru lower buffer tube boss area and a pin is inserted so you can not drive it out.

What make of stock is it? Most of the major brands sell a M4 type stock fixed onto a rifle length buffer tube.
