I really have two questions about a build I'm working on:
1. I'm looking at building a DMR style rifle in 6.5 Grendel The question I want to ask is would you recommend the Vltor VIS over anything else? I've been doing a lot of research and it ended up with me wanting a monolithic receiver. 2. Where is the cheapest source for the VIS or whatever you recommend? |
| If you want a monolithic rail upper you don't really have any other option, the VIS is your only choice. LMT does not make a 6.5 Grendel barrel for their MRP so you'd have to have one custom made, I'm not even sure if you can get an LMT MRP barrel extension in order to make a custom Grendel barrel. VIS prices are pretty much the same wherever you look, check Rainier Arms and you'll probably be able to save a few bucks if they have it in stock. Last time I checked they had the VIS-2 and VIS-2A in stock, but no carbine or rifle length. |
