[ARCHIVED THREAD] - MEGA Upper Receivers...?

I'm building a AR pistol... The lower is finished, now I'm going to start on the upper.

Anyone have any opinions on MEGA machine upper receivers...?

I recently bought a Mega upper to match a Mega lower. The fit was as good as any AR that I have owned. There was no upper/lower flop yet the takedown pins pushed out easily. Of course I could have just been lucky and found a well matched pair, which is not always the case. The left side of the MEGA upper is marked 'MEGA'.

I picked up a Mega upper and when test fitting it to my KAC lower it was tight. A better fit than the KAC upper

Lots of folks out here that are really happy with them and the finish is very nice too.

The finish is one of the reasons why I'm looking at it... I've got an Anvil Arms pistol lower that has the same black teflon coating... The MEGA uppers also use the same coating. I'm just not sure if I want "MEGA" engraved into the upper.
