| Sooo, I'm building an M4A1 type AR. It's been a good 6 years since I built an M16A2 type AR. I am trying to stick with milspec parts where ever possible. So far I have an LMT 14.5 inch M4 upper (plan to use the vortex hider), CMT lower parts and a NoDak Spud NDS-16A2 lower. I already have plans on getting the carrying handle, charging handle and bolt carrier group(M16 or Semi, not sure) from LMT. Handguards from whoever. The only part in question is the buttstock. Should it be 4 or 6 position for milsepc, and who makes the best colapseable without a logo. (no magpul or any tacticool variants, just sticking to milspec). I want the M4 to basically look like the new colt I pulled out of the box when I was at Bragg and we traded in or M-16's. |
