Anyone know anything about this new TNW piston kit?

I decided to email TNW about any issues with carrier tilt, as this does exist with some other kit's on the martket. Here is their reply;

Thank you for your email.
We have not seen any "carrier tilt". I have heard about this from a caller last week. We have checked the test guns and do not see any wear on the bottom of the lower receiver near the buffer or in the roof of the upper. A lot of our rounds tested have been in an M16-A1. What were are you seeing? Our design is based on an acceleration curve over a longer time period. I would assume that if you put a lot of "torque" pressure on the bolt as it transitions the "gap" then there will be adverse wear. The long stroke design does not hammer the bolt open. Our configuration accelerates the bolt over a long distance in order to give it a velocity great enough for the bold hold back to catch on the last round. There is no need to impart any more energy on the system than that.
We look forward to hearing from you.

I have a carbine TNW gas piston kit in my hands.  It is well made, and the engineering principles are sound.  Once the piston achieves enough velocity, excess gas is bled overboard to keep the piston from increasing in velocity.  The AK piston works on the same principle.  TNW stated that they wish to make a piston kit that the average AR shooter can afford, and a piston kit that give years of reliable service.

Edited to add:
I paid $250 for mine.

THANKS.

I'm quite interested in this design, and have hopes of trying one out, though I'm not sure whether or not these kit's are shipping.

PLEASE post a review once you've tried it out!

I may not try it out.  I looked over sample uppers and bought the piston kit just to look it over in detail.  I could sell it.

TNW had several boxes of kits.  I see no reason why these would not be shipping, but call or email TNW just to be sure.
