| Any1 have experience with steel CH? Are they any good? I bent my alum CH while trying to clear a jamb and was thinking of trying a steel one. |
The original problem was the bullet case was not sized properly and when I closed the bolt it got stuck in the chamber. I tryed pulling on the CH but it would not budge so I had to get a rubber mallet and tap on the CH to clear it. |

usually you can find a good solid surface and while applying rearward pressure on the charging handle with the rifle in a verticle position smack the butt downward briskly and it should clear the stuck case. I noticed quite a few people of late don't like to clear a stuck case in this manner. ![]() These are military style rifles and can be treated as such. |
And the steel handles are MORE likely to bend in such a situation than the aluminum. They're very thin along the shaft. I still can't figure out how you bent the original. I've used a rubber mallet a time or two over the years and not had this happen.

+1 BTW, collapse collapsible stock BEFORE doing this. BSW |
Well I was hitting the CH kind of hard I will try and post some pics when I get home. |
