I'm looking to have a custom upper built(16 lw barrel,A1 upper,triangle hg's).Any recommendations for a place to do this?

You could order a 1:7 16" lightweight upper from CMMG with an A1 receiver, but without handguards, and then just get your shorty triangular handguards from PK Firearms. You can even get CMMG to put a triangular handguard cap on so all you'd do would be to put the handguards on.

I had Spikes build an upper for me and they did a great job. Wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

NVBGear who posted further up in this thread is a good option for a custom build.  Of course Spikes is also.  Talk to both, one is sure to fit your prefererence. both have good reputations.
