I have so question about building a 6.8 upper? Is it possible to use a 5.56 upper with 6.8 barrel, bolt, and gas system?

You would want to get an M4 cut receiver IIRC due to the lower centerline of the 6.8 SPC rounds as they ride in the magazine.

I would get the M4 Cut, I just didn't know it was possible. My lower is marked multical and I wanted to buy just the upper from the same company as my lower. I also want a .22 upper to match. I'm looking at selling some of my stuff to get it.

I have seen the 6.8 used on uppers that have not had the M4 cuts and have not seen anyone with problems.

Use a good mag made for the 6.8, get new ones don't convert your old ones.

I would invest in good mags since I would only get a couple.
