i am thinking about getting a magpul ctr stock for my bushmaster. the factory stock wiggles. its the only thing on my carbine that is loose. yhm two piece handguards are rock solid. the upper lower receiver fit is rock solid. the stock wiggles alot and that bugs me. i hear the ctr is pretty solid but does it stay solid after repeated locking and unlocking?

If and when you do, make sure you get the commercial version of the stock.

Bushmaster receiver extension tubes are not mil spec. Every collapsible stock will have some play in it though. Some are tighter than others, but they all do. This one should take up a lot of the excess that you mention though.

As for the stock staying solid... Magpul has an extra locking feature on it to ensure that it says where you put it, no matter how many times.

I've been using my CTR for a bit over a year now and it's still very solid and it should stay that way for a long time.

My CTR stock is so solid that I could now feel a very little movement between my upper and lower receiver which I didn't notice before I used the CTR.

CTR is the way to go to eliminate stock wobble.
