I have a chance to pick up a Kinghts armament M4 rail system and I was wondering what you guys think of it? I haven't seen these for sale on the net so what would it be worth (i't LNIB)?

Thanks

Seen them for less in the EE, but beware of Airsoft knock-offs.

Thanks Guys. I checked again and its a M5 RAS system, I think its 12' long. Can i use this for a new Mid length build? or will it fit on a 16"m4?
I can get the system with 5 full length panels and 3  1/2 length panels and a Knights fore grip all for $150. How is the quality of this system.

Thanks
Lee

M5 RAS is made for rifles.  You were correct, it is the 12" version.  KAC doesn't make a drop in midlength, but you can use an M4 RAS (7") for a carbine.

M4 RAS goes on carbines with 7" rails

M5 RAS goes on rifles with 12" rails.

Knights makes a mid length rail but its not drop in and they arent sold to the public anymore.

The mid length is shown online and in their current catalog.

KAC does not make a "mid length".  The FF-RAS is available in a "medium" length but it is a 10" handguard while mid-lengths are 9".

I'm new at this so I hope this isn't a stupid question but if i'm building a mid-length upper and I use a gas block and no front sight why won't the M5 RAS work on a 16" barrel.

The M5 RAS attaches using the existing hand guard cap on the rear of the front sight base.

If that is what you are after you can look at the Free float version by Knights

Like he said, you'll want the "Long" FF-RAS if you want a rifle length knights foreend on your 16" midlength barrel.
