I am debating between a CMMG mid-length upper and a LaRue Stealth Billet upper in 16". I'm leaning towards the Larue b/c of of great experiences with the company and the 1/8 twist. My one question is can an M-203 fit on a mid length barrel? How far away is the the gas block for the upper? My role changes at my job so often that If I can't fit the M-203 on somebody may notice that it's not an issue upper (somebody that would make a big deal out of it). Any input would be great. Thanks

Well the LaRue Stealth uppers come with LaRue FF rails on them.  So unless your 203 at work is equipped with a rail mount, the point is moot since you can't remove the lower portion of the LaRue rails.

Let me rephrase the question then. Does a mid length gas system fit a 203 or does the bracket take up the same place as the front site post.

Your front sight assembly on a midlength is going to be right around where the M203 quick-release bracket (with its barrel cut) would be. The second you stack arms with anyone else, it's going to be real obvious.
