| I don't go on this forum that much so sorry if this question has been asked a lot. I want to know which version is better. There is a big price difference for the same rifle. The Bushmaster is around $1300 while the DPMS version is dirt cheap around $800 or $900. I've also noticed that a Colt version is $1600 or more. What are the major differences besides the name? All I know is that the Colts are pricey and I heard that you can't customize them as well as the others? Any information would be great. I'm trying to get a new rifle before the next election because I have a feeling gun laws are gonna get tougher. |

They're both good... but do yourself a favor. Buy an upper and lower seperately and piece them together. You can create something better than both the DPMS and Bushmaster for an even more affordable price. I put together a Mega lower and Stag upper and came out with a rifle comparable to a 1200 dollar Bushmaster for under 750. Shop around... I got one half from AR15sales.com, and the other from ColemanTyler.com |
Oh Wow. Thanks for the information. The parts you bought are really superior quality and It was under $750? That's amazing. I'll look into it. Thanks again. |
Listen to Cheez... you can get a good rifle off the shelf, but you can build a better one cheaper (w/ some common sense of course) |
That doesn't sound like a bad idea. I take it everything for sale is on the equipment exchange board? What's the general feeling on two stage triggers? It sounds nice but I've never fired a rifle with a trigger of that type. I might want to have one if I build my own. |
