Hey all,
I have an AR-15 shorty Bushmaster with the A1 or A2 upper reciever show below.  I need to replace this upper with an A3 flatop so I can mount the Night Vision and other optics properly on the rifle.  It has a chrome lined 1/9 556 barrel on it, so my thoughts are that I'd simply like to get an A3 flattop for it as opposed to purchasing the uppers with Barrel.  Price is also currently a factor.  Would I be better served just getting the bushmaster flatop or is there another manufacture that would be preferred.

Next question is will it be possible to mate the flattop upper with the rail hand guard systems so I have a contiguous rail system on the weapon?  If so, any recommendations on the rail hand guards would be appreciated.

Thanks

Mark

Does any part of your head touch the buttstock when you shoot that?  Get a flattop and lower that sight a foot or so.
