How prone is an MI FF rail to rotating? I saw the 2 notches in the collar portion which 'lock' into the barrel nut -- but if the design is that simple, why dosn't everyone else do that? And if I keep my non FF rail, how detrimental will it be to mount a light and VFG to my normal accuracy? I'm not building a tac driver, but I'm not gonna make something worse when a few extra bucks would resolve it. |
Not having used one myself, I have to say that doesn't sound all that reassuring, at least when putting a VFG on the rails and the torque that it could apply to the barrel nut thats mounted on the low end at what 30-35 ft/lbs. Do I think myself to be more of a gorilla than I truly am? |

My FF has the same problem. someone suggested lock tight to fix the problem. When mine is really tight, you have to add quite a bit of force to get it to move, but it is easier than it should be with my forgrip on there. I'm gonna try lock tight and just hope for the best. Its a good thing I'm not mounting any optics on mine though. |
