To all, Not sure if this is the right forum for this particular Q.... I've got a Bushy and I'm thinking about going with a new ero grip...or something like it. This idea is only one day old, so I have gathered no intel yet. What do you guys think about grips? Brands? Form/function? Ease of installation? Thanks. |

I think that having a good grip is a boon to any rifle. Makes it easier to hold/control, not to mention more comfortable. Form/function: In this case, form is function, but it depends on how its form fits your form to get the right function. Ease of installation: Easy. They go on the same way, just unscrew the screw inside the stock grip, be careful because there are some small springs and detents that are held in place by the grip, and then just do the opposite with the new grip. Brands: Almost any are better and more comfortable than the stock A2 (at least for me, your results may vary). The Ergo grip (one that's like the grip on the HK 91) is comfortable and fairly inexpensive, as is the Hogue grip. My favorite, however, is the Magpul MIAD. Definitely more expensive than the rest, but unlike the rest it's customizeable. I like the fattest backstrap combined with the flat frontstrap and I liked that I was able to play with it to find what worked the best for me. The grip itself is solid and has a very positive and very comfortable texture. Definitely the most comfortable grip out there for me. Again, your results will differ, go to a gun show and fondle guns with various grips installed to see how you like them. The Ergo grip was my runner up. |
