I'm sure this has been discussed somewhere here before, but I have searched high and low and can't seem to find anything.

What's everyone's opinions on the Sully Stock?  I finally got to see one in person this weekend and I liked it's length.  I'm looking for something shorter than the ACE ARFX w\o the butt padd but longer than the ARFX-E.

Also, where can one of these be bought?  Is the defensive edge website the only place to get one?

I had one on my 'AWB' carbine, great stock for a 'fighting carbine'.

AFAIK the only place to get them is from Defensive Edge.

I think it is shorter.

I have heard it takes some "tuning" regarding different buffers, depending on Carbine, vs Mid length, etc...only place to buy it is from Sully too...people that have them tuned like them very much as an entry stock...

It's shorter than an A1.  It's about the same length as a collapsible stock at the first extension notch.  I think it's a perfect length, as that's where all my extendable stocks sit, shooting squared-up to the target.

It uses a carbine spring & buffer.  So it's no different "tuning" the buffer system than any other collapsible stock.

I really, really like mine.

No 'tuning' is required - it runs the same as any telestock.

It is shorter than an A1 even with the included extension.

FYI:
Sully Stock 8.125" long
Sully Stock w/extension: 9.125" long
A1 stock 9.875"
A2 stock 10.5"

Sully Stock, A1 stock, A2 stock.

OK devils advocate on this again..whats the length comparison to the "entry" stock that RRA makes. The stubby appears to be longer.
Thanks

I really like mine also. I measured LOP on my rifle. With the short pad it is 11" if that gives you a better idea for comparison of the length.

The biggest difference between the Sully stock and the RRA stock is durability. The Sully is solid urethane and is tough as nails. The RRA stock is hollow and relatively speaking, more fragile.

I just traded a RRA "entry" stock.  I measured it at something like 7.25".  It was a bit too short.  I compared it to a lower with a M4 tactical stock (not the CAR) fully collapsed closed position and the RRA was pretty much the same length.  Never tried a Sully stock.

I'm thinking of Building a Middy with one of these stocks... I might go ahead and pick one up.

I have two and really like them. If there is one thing that can be improved I would like the butt plate to have more grip.
