Any hints on installing rail covers?  Can't get them on.  I'm sure there is a trick.

Thanks for your help.

Can you be more specific? There is a plethora of rail covers on the market.

What kind are they?

I had to warm up my magpul ones before I could get them on.

They are ERGO brand, full length.

Thanks again.

There is no trick that I've found.  I use Magpul XTs and they are a PITA to install, but stay on just fine (so far).  The "trick" is too have enough hand strength to put one side on and then man-handle the other side into place.  Whoever wrote in the catalog that they were easy to install needs an ass-wupping.

Just be patient and shut the door so no one hears you cussing.

Just put a little ass into it and do one side at a time.  You won't break them so just keep pushing and spreading til they slip on.  They can be a pain but they will go.

Maybe try heating them up?

Damn, I've done it a bunch and never realized it was that hard.

Just stick one side on and work your way down the length pushing the other side on.  As far as tasks that require alot of hand strength, this is in the bottom 20% IMO.

C'mon guys.
