I have a new bushy upper on an new oly lower the only thing is the mags dont fit in or drop free. If I give it a few good slaps they will stay but I have to rip them from the well.

-will this cause feeding problems,
-with this go away after I shoot it a few times

When you say "they will stay," are they actually engaging the mag catch and seating, or are they just stuck in the mag well? Can you pull them out without pushing the mag release?

Welcome to the world of out of spec Olympic products. Don't mean to sound snotty, but this issue has been an occasional topic on this site ever since I've been around here. Yes, a lot of Oly stuff works just fine, but they do seem to put out a higher than average amount of problem pieces.

I know the above doesn't help w/your problem. If the piece was mine, I'd take one mag and work it in and out until the finish wear indicates where it's hanging up. If it's just in one spot, I guess you could take a small fine cut file and gently relieve that area. If it's the whole box, you can try sending it back to Oly. Past posts from others who have had this problem do not indicate that they are real cooperative about fixing the problem. though.

Good luck

Oly is the suckiest of the suckiest next to Vulcan Arms.  They sell crap plain and simple.  Out of spec, improperly made, and poorly controlled.  Sell to a pawn shop or buy another lower from a good maker and use the oly as a target.

Now, let's never speak of this again.

I wouldn't put Oly or any other AR in the same catagory as Vulcan/Hesse or anywhere near them. Vulcan/Hesse are in a catagory of their own.

yeah they lock in after I bitch slap the bottem of the mag as a usually do but I actually have to rip the mag from the well to remove it. I switched out the oly for a bushy, the oly upper worked fine with the oly lower but the mags stick with the new upper.
