Im looking for a compensator to get my "fast" groups down.  Any ideas would be appreciated  to help get the ball rolling.  Noise reduction would be a nice added benefit.

thx,

FSC556 from Primary Weapons is by far your best option since it is both a brake and flash suppressor.

I have used AK Concepts and MSTN QC with good result. I don't think noise reduction is an option with a comp as they port the gases to the sides and back. Both slightly louder than an A2.

MSTN QC is a very good brake! Good choices might also be the new Surefire comp (available from Brownells) and the Primary Weapons System brake. All these brakes are designed with noise increase in mind.

No one said you will have less noise with a compensator / brake (as long as we are not talking about suppressors ...). But there are brakes that generate a lot of muzzle blast and others that are designed to do the job with much less.

Yes, but if you read the OP's post, which is what I was responding to, he says he'd like a comp, and that noise reduction would be a nice added benefit.

Oups! Youre right, I just reread the original question.

If you doulbe up hearing protection (and this is what you should do!) a good brake should not make much of a difference for the shooter.

JP Enterprises offers a couple of comps.  Both are very effective but loud.  I don't really notice it too much when shooting but I've had guys next to me comment on the noise.
