Purchased a complete Stag lower with 6 position tactical stock.  I compared it side by side with my Bushmaster and it appears finished even better(smooth as silk finish).  There are no machine marks anywhere in or out that I can see.  Fit is top notch.  The stock trigger is a heavy 6# but breaks clean with no creep.  Did I just get a good one as I read so many folks post negative about Stag?.........Mike

Just bought a Stag stripped lower.  Looks like an excellent, quality product. Believe most of the Stag hate is the deer head logo. We like that kind of stuff up here in the North woods

I only use STAG lowers. Great quality and readily available.

Their stuff is good, I've got a Global Tactical lower that they machined and it is awesome.

stag lowers have always been one of the best for the price

h/w, some of the parts recently from stag has been reported to be out of spec/malf. but imo, they are still one of the best companies out there

I just buy the yellow jp springs and whack the hook off the back of the hammer. I still havent gotten around to polishing the hammer and disconnect. I realy havent even gotten around to cutting the hammer down, but I have the yellow springs in all four of my ARs.

Well, since Stag and Rock River, as well as several other marked brands, are all built by Coninental Machine (note the CM in front of the serial no.) I guess you'd expect them to be of equal quality

Of course the Stag pieces might be just a tad better foinished than the other brands, since the president of Stag is the son of the president of Conti.

my 3 Stag lowers don't have a CM before the serial number. they all start S/N.

I've got two Stag lowers, one of which I've recently SBR'd. I'd like to have a dozen more sitting in my closet if I had the green.

Stag is good stuff.  I just don't think their logo is appropriate for an AR.
