I had an opportunity to shoot some Winchester Q3131A 5.56 ammo thru fellow arfcommer's Eagle Arms 20" AR15 that had what he called a Y-Comp compensator on it. This comp had (ithink) 3 chambers on each side that blew muzzel blast out to the side with very significant force. After shooting this weapon I must say that most of the precieved recoil I felt was from the buffer movement. This compensator really worked! The problem with it was the significant side blast that is irratating to neighboring shooters. My RRA AR has the standard flash hider I think is called a bird cage and IMO doesn't work very well as a compensator so I got in on n AimSurplus group buy for a DNTC compensator.
Like this except the one I ordered is all black....
I'm wondering if anyone here has any experience with the DNTC compensator?
Thanks in advance.
Edit: to say if this is in the wrong forum please shift it to where it should be. Thanks

I used a DNTC comp on a build I did for my wife. Both of us are very happy with how the comp works. The DNTC makes the recoil feel softer and the rifle recoils straight back. Pretty much no muzzle rise. Or at least, very little muzzle rise.
