Living as I am in the glorious state of New Jersiikstan, I cannot have an AR15 with a proper flash suppressor.

Currently I am running an MSTN competition brake on my 16" LMT, but I've been reading some good things about JP Tactical Compensators. Is their press the real deal or ??

I believe you already have one of the best brakes, MSTN quiet comp.  It is a toss up between the JP-BC and MSTN quiet comp.  They are the brake-of-choice for action shooting sports and just about everyone in the 3-gun scene have them on their match rifles.

I agree.  I have both and they are both top notch.

Sweet, I was hoping that was the case.

No need to upgrade then :)

Your MSTN QC comp IS permanently attached right
That makes it considerably harder to change out...
