| I just purchased an AR this weekend and was interested in changing the grips. I normally put Hogue grips on any and all firearms I own, but was considering something different, seeing as how there are many more options available for an AR. Whcih you you guys recommend. Should I stick with Hogue, try the Ergo or the Magpul MIAD? |

+1,000 on the Magpul MIAD Deluxe. It has the enhanced trigger guard included with 2 other inserts. Worth the extra few dollars more. I have the std A2, the ERGO Grip, the Hogue and the MIAD Deluxe. The MIAD has em all beat (in my opinion, for what thats worth). YMMV. If you can, go to a shop locally and "TRY" a few different ones that fits you best. Only way to get something really suited well for you. Everyone is different and will recommend different grips to you. It all comes down to your personal comfort. All that you have listed are fine grips and would work well for anyone. Now just fine tune it for you. |

Get the grip that fits your hand the best, and try it first from your local gun store if possible. If not the Magpul MIAD have a very good possibility of fitting your hand because of it's adjustable different size panels. I have two MIADs now, the other grips that I prefer are the A1 because I got used to it with my first AR SP1 and I also like the duck bill type grip because it feels like the A1 grip but have a built in gapper. |
