What trigger has the best pull and will still stand up to long term use/shtf?

The standard GI trigger seems to work just fine. I put a Geissele in my AR.

I am going to be using this gun to shoot to 1000 yards using a 6.5 grendel.  I want a trigger with good characteristics.

When you simply have to have the best: Geiselle.

if this is for a long range precision rig, go with the geissele.
when i bought mine i went with the DMR version but it came with all the springs so i could set it up as Service, Match, or DMR. very smooth 2lb first stage, with a clean breaking very light secondstage.

What would be your second choice since a Geissele wouldn't work in my Colt AR (large pin) because it has a sear block.

Also, would someone explain the feel of a two-stage trigger (say 3 lb. 1st stage then a very light 2nd stage). Is it a 3 lb. pull then you relax the pressure and then continue to pull with a very light break ?  Need some help understanding what the feel is on a two-stage trigger. THANKS

I have the Jewell and the Rock River match.  both good, however, the original trigger that came with my Bushie, a single stage, was really good!  go figure!  bill

HOW much better than a JARD is a Geiselle?

With a 2 stage you don't relax your pull between stages. It's not a set trigger

You take up the first stage (say 3 pounds), then you feel the "wall" of the trigger. You need to then apply more pressure (whatever you 2nd stage is), then the trigger breaks.

Once you take up the first stage you get used to the weight, so breaking the second stage doesn't feel like you pulling the whole weight, only the incremental. At any time you can let-off pressure and the trigger resets.

Anyone know HOW much better the Geiselle is than the JARD?

I ask because I have a JARD.  How durable are the JARD's?

You wont be disappointed with the Geissele.

I have heard nothing but good about the Geiselle.  But I want to know if it is worth the extra $125-$150 for it. (Compared to the JARD)

How do you determine if you have a sear block on the Colt?  What exactly does it look like?

I have a pre-ban Colt Sporter with a stiff mil-spec trigger I wouldn't mind replacing, and I was considering the Geissele.
