I think I am going to go with the MRFS-CX-EBR for my duty rifle.  Out of the research that I've done, I know that I have to cut off the delya ring assy., remove the sling loop and grind down the bayonet lug for the bottom rail to fit.  I also think that I have to cut the bottom of the front HG cap.  I know that to do it more professional, I should remove the FSB, but I'm not sure I want to go that route.  If I just use the dremel, will my install go fairly painless?  The whole point of going FF is to prevent the barrel from touching, so my ultimate question is...Does the top or sides of the HG cap make contact with the tube?

Thanks

I would cut it off anyway, even if it doesnt touch.

I vote to dremel off the DR and the end cap.

I'm running the MRFS-M-EX on my STAG.
No issues with having to cut the lug though I did need to remove the site tower sling mount.

I left the cap on and it does not touch at all.

I only wish the section of rail in front of the site had a bit of rail rather than just grooves.

Hope it's ok to use the SAMSON web site image

You will need to remove the handguard cap. Removing half of it will look stupid. I have the EBR on my 14.5". and you will be able to see the cap when looking at the open end of the FF tube.

I cut mine off with a dremel tool. Very painless, no need to remove the FSB. I removed my whole barrel to get rid of the Delta ring, but if you're careful, you can remove it with Dremel too.

Samson FF rails are sweet pieces of kit. Rock solid, and the FF really makes accuracy improve (at least it did on mine!)

As said, just remove the entire handguard cap. No reason to leave any of it on. And check the fit before you do anything to the bayo lug. You may not need to.
