Am I correct to assume, the handguard and fsb go on at the same time? If so, how much a pita is that to do?

Nothing really.

However it is made of the same synthetic material as the grip. Some people don't like that. The seperate trigger guard is aluminum.

My biggest grip about the insert with the integral trigger guard is that the insert has the finger groove ala' the M16A2 grip. I hate the finger rest. Give me a smooth front panel anytime please.
