One of my first uppers I got has a weird markings on the barrel.  I was told its a generic wilson barrel.  The barrel is 14.5" with correct M4 profile. The only markings on the barrel are

"1/9 Chrome" in font similar to this.

Any idea what kind of barrel is this.

Thanks

Paul

I'm thinking Model 1, and by the way the crush washer is on backwards.

So its not a Wilson barrel like I was told? I'll fix the crush washer. EDIT - Crush washer fixed.

Thanks

Probably is a Wilson barrel as they make barrels for many of the aftermarket sellers, I  know M&A uses Wilson also

Bottom line is this decent barrel? The rest of the upper isn't model one.  RRA upper and CMT/Stag bolt and carrier.

That's ER Shaw's engraving.
Similar to what you see on Bravo Company barrels, but Paul uses different markings.
On Model 1 barrels, there is usually an "M1S" just in front of the FSB.

I have been using some J&T barrels recently that are engraved just like that, but the barrels I am using are lightweight carbine barrels, not M4 barrels.

I'd bet $5 that it's a Shaw barrel.
Hard to say WHO shaw made it for though.

Shaw makes barrels for Model 1, Bravo Company, Colt and LOTS of other companies.
