I need a AR for rabbit/coyote hunting and was trying to decide between 2 uppers either a LMT MRP Rifle Length w/ 16" s/s 1/7 bbl or Denny GTS upper GTS recon BBL 16" 1/7 or 1/9 LaRue 12.0 CMT upper i will also be starting with the sheriffs dept in january and hoping to join the SRT soon after(after 18 mo) will they let me use my Upper? if so, if i got the mrp i could just use a CQB barrel instead of getting a new upper. thanks again Tony ETA: what would be a better stock for my use? LMT SOPMOD or Magpul93B(if i can find one) |

Don't know about your dept, but I'm sure it's up to the Sheriff. Mine is strictly issue only. Although I'm not SRT I am friends with several of the members. We issue M4's and P90's. They just placed 1th in the state in this years competition too. (Shameless mention for the boys. Way to go!) -Hershey |
